Young Collection

Nine volumes presented c1611-1640 by Patrick Young (1584-1652), Librarian to James VI and I and Charles I; one of the `Foundation Gifts' to the new Common Library ( Royal Collection). It includes two incunabula (Goff D380 and D-394 bound together) and a set of the Complutensian Polyglott Bible (1514-1517).

Records for the whole collection are on SAULCAT. There is also a contemporary ms list of the gift in its original extent - part of the `Foundation list'. The collection has the prefix Jun.
