Shewan Collection

Presented in 1936 by Dr Alexander Shewan, Indian Civil Service and independent Homeric scholar. The collection contains around 5000 pamphlets (including printed dissertations, articles, notes, and reviews) uniformly bound in 250 volumes, in the field of Homeric studies; mostly 19th century.

Available through the guard book catalogue. There is also a manuscript list by subject compiled by Dr Shewan. The collection has the prefix She.
