Scot Collection

Presented to St Leonard´s College in 1620 and 1646 by Sir John Scot of Scotstarvit (1585-1670) and his friends, the 1620 gift for the formation of a `class library´ in the humanities (Sir John Scot graduated from St Leonard´s College in 1605). It contains 64 volumes of continental works of the 16th and 17th centuries, chiefly in the humanities (classics and history).
