Presented in 1939 by Angus MacGillivray of MacGillivray, 28th Chief of the Clan, it contains around 1250 books of the 18th-20th centuries, in the field of Scottish history and literature, and includes books in Gaelic and many early editions of Ossian.
Work is currently in progress to add records for the collection to SAULCAT. The collection has the prefix MacG.
