Presented to St Leonard`s College c1645 by Francis Scott, 2nd Earl of Buccleuch (1626-1651), a student at the College c1640. It consists of 113 volumes bearing the Earl's superb large gilt armorial bookstamp (92 x 71 mm) on the covers. Mainly theological works, but books by JC and JJ Scaliger are well represented.
