Resources
The Library's mission is to support the teaching, learning and research activities of the University's undergraduate, postgraduate and research communities. Extensive print and electronic collections underpin teaching and research in all subject areas, and readers have access not only to an ever-increasing stock of printed books, but also to many thousands of full-text e-books and e-journals, a substantial media collection and over 200 electronic databases which can be consulted both on and off campus.
The Special Collections Department houses over 120,000 rare printed books, a world-class collection of early photography, plus significant manuscript holdings ranging from Greek papyri of the second century to modern business records.
