First year student Lucy Payne (pictured with the Director of Library Services, John MacColl) enjoyed a lucky start to her studies here in St Andrews. Lucy was one of around 800 students who attended Library induction sessions during Orientation Week. She entered, and won, our prize draw for an iPad2.
On hearing the good news this week Lucy's initial response was "complete shock". However she went on to add that "the induction session was really useful, it informed me on how to use the Library and its resources, and this will help me improve my studies."
Asked about her inital impressions of using the refurbished Library, Lucy said "all the staff are really helpful and there's a really good atmosphere."
Although Orientation sessions are now over, any new students who did not pick up a wallet with key information on Library and Computing Services can do so from the Main Library Helpdesk.
