AmbiCare Ltd
Ambicare a spin-out company from University of St Andrews and Tayside Health Board, have developed of ambulatory light sources for skin treatment, has made major strides towards product launch with the completion of its final production design. The company submitted the product to the regulatory authorities for CE marking as a medical device and it has received the CE Mark approval ahead of it's European launch.
Ambicare's light-emitting source, which will revolutionise the treatment of skin cancer, was created at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee and has been further developed into products for the treatment of acne and for wrinkle reduction. These new developments open up wider markets for the company and further enhance future success of Ambicare.

Aquapharm
Aquapharm® is a leading marine biotechnology company pioneering the discovery and development of novel biochemistry isolated from the under explored biological diversity of marine microbes.
Their core focus is to develop novel antibiotics to treat Gram negative and Gram positive infections e.g. Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Acinetobacter, penicillin resistant Streptococci pneumoniae (PRSP), MRSA, & VRE and to isolate novel marine natural products for pharmaceutical applications. In addition, Aquapharm® has discovery activities in consumer / personal healthcare, nutrition and biocatalysis.
