IMAP Setup
As well as the web gateway it is also possible to access your SaintMail from an email client on your personal computer or mobile device. For detailed instructions on how to configure specific supported email clients please refer to the configuration instructions for supported email clients ensuring you are configuring your mail client with the server settings outlined below. You must ensure you are using the second google side password that you create during the opting in process. If you need to create or reset this password please go to the Google-side Password change/reset page.
While details are provided to help users setup their email clients IT Services currently only supports access to SaintMail via the web gateway.

Setup for mobile devices
Apple iPhone:
Go to the Mail, Contacts, Calendars section of the iPhone's main Settings and choose to Add an account (unless you have previously setup your iPhone for accessing your University email in which case you will just need to edit your existing account details). Then setup the account using the server settings as listed above.
Blackberry:
For the Blackberry you will first need to remove any email accounts you have previously setup for your University email as it is not possible to edit an existing account with the correct settings for SaintMail.
Go to the Main Menu Settings section
Create a New Account within the Email Setup section
Enter your University email address
Enter a made-up password ( it is important this step is not verified to allow a manual setup)
After this stage you will be asked if you wish to manually configure the account from which point you can continue using the settings above. (please note the blackberry does not require the SMTP server information)
