Note, all new students starting Academic year 2015-16 will start with Office365 instead of SaintMail; see these pages for more information; Office 365
The University of St Andrews has partnered with Google to deliver SaintMail, an enhanced email service with integrated calendar that is available to all eligible St Andrews students.
What is SaintMail powered by Google?
SaintMail powered by Google is a web based email solution and is part of the University of St Andrews implementation of Google Apps for Education. It provides each student with more than 7GB of storage and along with other features such as integrated calendar and spam protection. You will not be bombarded with any advertisements: Google has eliminated advertisements from their education offerings for all active students.
What do I get?
You have a St Andrews email address, but use Google's advanced email interface - without ads. Comes with a powerful spam filter and over 7GB of storage (so you may never have to delete a message again)
Organise your life - keep a calendar for yourself, share calendars with your friends, and subscribe to public calendars to stay on top of events on campus.
SaintMail is available for all following student groups at University of St Andrews as long as you do not have more than a part-time staff contract.
- Undergraduate students
- Postgraduate students (see note 2)
- Other students
- For those of you that have more than a part-time staff contract, you will remain on the current staff system until the staff email project (Unimail) is complete.
- Research postgraduate students must read our Information for postgraduates.
