Configure the email client on your smartphone (Unimail or IMAP)
Most email clients on smartphones, and mobile phones with enhanced services will let you configure multiple email accounts, and to use either Microsoft Exchange or IMAP. Because of the diversity of devices and email clients available to the user we cannot provide comprehensive instructions for each one. We have provided basic instructions on setting up email using Exchange Activesync for Unimail on Apple iPhones, Blackberrys and Android phones (version 2.1 or newer). Instruction for connecting to email only via IMAP are also provided as a guide, using the Apple iPhone (iOS) email client as an example.
Connecting to Unimail (email and calendar synchronisation)

Security settings
- If possible use STARTTLS. The Apple iPhone uses SSL
