The Catalist agreement
The UK Government's Office of Government Commerce (OGC), via the Central Computer and Telecommunications Agency (CCTA), has negotiated the Catalist agreement with Vodafone, Orange, O2 and T-Mobile to provide mobile telephone handsets and line rental at preferential rates. The University of St Andrews has signed up to this agreement and IT Services can offer attractive prices on mobile phones, line rental and call charges for business use.
As an example: Vodafone's monthly line rental is currently £2.50, with calls to fixed line numbers in the UK charged at 3p per minute.
Further information regarding the Catalist agreement, standard mobile handsets, line rental call charges and data plans can be found via the Telephones section on the Tech and administrative services web page, or you can contact the Telephone Office.
