How to ensure F-Secure is up-to-date
Check the version number of your copy of F-Secure
Right-click on the small F-Secure logo
in your System Tray (the area at the right-hand end of your Windows Task Bar). A popup menu will appear:

Select About... A splash screen will open showing the version of your F-Secure.

If your version of F-Secure is older than 5.43 you should upgrade it now.
Check when your virus definition databases were last updated
You should check every day or two that your F-Secure virus definition databases are up-to-date. Read this page for instructions on updating your virus definition databases.
The instructions also tell you how to make F-Secure remind you every day to update your virus definition databases.
