Set up UniPrint on a PC running Windows 7
Currently, the following set up procedures will only work with IT Services installations of Windows 7. Instructions for setting up a non-domain Windows 7 PC are available as an MS Word document:
- Uniprint - Windows 7 non-domain PC set up (Word, 496 KB)
UniPrint can also be set up on Windows XP PCs, but only on PCs which authenticate using your St Andrews user name and password.
If your PC does not meet these criteria please contact the IT Service Desk for further information.
Windows 7 set up
- Click the Start button
- In the Search programs and files text box type in \\uniprint.st-andrews.ac.uk and press the Return key
- When the login box appears type in your St Andrews username and password.
- Tick the box that says Remember my credentials.
- Click OK
After a short wait you should see a dialog box with several "queues" listed
- Right-click on queue and select Connect...
The installation may stall for a few seconds while Windows finds the appropriate queue then installs the correct driver for the printer.
