PC applications software

Applications software on the Classroom PC computers vary from location to location, as required for teaching purposes. The Modern Languages applications are available in Buchanan, Butts Wynd, Irvine, and Modern Languages.

Requests for existing teaching applications to be distributed to other classrooms should be made through the departments owning the applications.

Wider availability of applications is restricted mainly by (a) licensing costs, (b) hard drive space on the older PCs, and (c) support limitations.

Requests for other applications to be added to the PC Classroom system should be made as an e-mail to the IT Service Desk.

It should be noted that not all requests for classroom software are granted; software should NOT be purchased until it has been confirmed by IT Services that it can be made to work.
