Computer classrooms and other open access computer clusters

There are many clusters of computers around the campus which are freely available to staff and students:

Teaching classrooms

Departmental classrooms which may be booked for teaching classes or practicals, funded jointly by the various departments and IT Services. When not in use for teaching, they're usually open.

General computer rooms

General open-access computer clusters in the Library and elsewhere, funded mainly by ITS.

Residence computer rooms

Computer clusters in Halls, funded by Residential and Business Services out of Hall fees - and open to hall residents only.

Postgraduate study rooms

Study rooms for postgraduate students, funded mainly by individual departments.

Students with special needs

There is a 24-hour access computer room reserved for students with special needs (adjacent to the main Library entrance): this provides some assistive hardware and software.
