The Central File Store

The Central File Store (CFS) is now the principal centrally administered file storage system, designed to be a highly resilient data storage system.

The CFS is currently divided into three main sections; one for shared file space for schools, one for shared file space for units and one for users' personal file spaces.  Most of the University's users already have their personal file space located on the CFS, and the remainder will be migrated in due course: all central file space, including the CFS, is backed up on a daily basis.
