Screen Reading and Magnifying
SuperNova:
SuperNova developed by Dolphin, provides screen access for visually impaired computer users through magnification, speech and Braille support. The software works by recognising and reading information from the computer screen aloud through your computer's soundcard. Screen information is also displayed in Braille for users of the many supported Braille devices. SuperNova not only reads text but also recognises Windows dialogs, icons, buttons, menus and controls.
Jaws:
JAWS® for Windows® works with your PC to provide access to today's software applications and the Internet. With its internal software speech synthesizer and the computer's sound card, information from the screen is read aloud, providing technology to access a wide variety of information, education and job related applications. JAWS also outputs to refreshable braille displays, providing braille support to any screen reader on the market.
Zoomtext:
ZoomText Magnifier enlarges and enhances everything on your computer screen, making all of your applications easy to see and use. The software's 'xFont' technology displays clear text at all magnification levels and colour schemes.
ZoomText Magnifier/Reader offers you the same tools as above with the addition of a set of screen reading tools.
