The University of St Andrews is an institutional member of the following national groups:

ALT (Association for Learning Technology)

ALT is a UK based professional and scholarly association which brings together all those with an interest in the use of learning technology by:

  • facilitating collaboration and good practice between practitioners, researchers, and policy makers.
  • raising the profile of research in learning technology.
  • supporting the professionalisation of learning technologists.

JISC (Joint Information Systems Committee)

JISC is an independent advisory body, funded by the UK HE and FE funding bodies, that works with further and higher education by providing strategic guidance, advice and opportunities to use ICT to support learning, teaching, research and administration.

eLearning Alliance (Scotland)

eLearning Alliance is a Scottish foundation with aims to promote, enhance, assist, facilitate and encourage, by whatever means, the highest quality support for skills development in Scotland through the use of eLearning products and services.

  • Regular members' meetings where up to three university staff can attend for free.
  • Members’ area with access to extra e-learning resources.
