Under the supervision of David Brown, Jim is exploring the relationship between the arts and spiritual formation (that is, how the arts expand one’s capacities to experience and engage with God’s purposes for the world) with a particular focus on three contemporary self-identifying Christian visual artists: Thomas Kinkade, Peter Howson and Makoto Fujimura.Other information
Jim lives in a cottage on Easter Kincaple Farm (about two miles outside of St Andrews) with his wife Jill and their four children: Lydia, Patrick and Peter, and Loryn. Jim and his family worship at St Andrew's Scottish Episcopal Church, where he serves as Director of Young Church Ministries.
