Biography
Simon Taylor is a PhD student at the University of St Andrews. Simon's research interests are concerned with combatants in African conflicts in general, with specific interest in Demobilization, Disarmament and Reintegration processes. He holds a Master's in International Relations from the University of Cape Town.
Prior to studying at the University of St Andrews, Simon was employed as Senior Foreign Service Officer at the South African Department of International Relations and Co-Operation, where he was the Desk Officer for Tunisia, Libya and Egypt. He also served on two ministerial task teams researching South African business in Africa and South Africa's contribution to post-conflict reconstruction in Africa.
