Information for accepted students
I will generally speak to you individually about your proposed study.
However, here is a quick checklist of the most important things to check before you go abroad:
Course choices
- Make sure we have discussed the kinds of course options acceptable to the School of International Relations before you leave and signed a learning contract.
- Make sure you also e-mail me about the final course options you have signed up for, so I can approve them once you arrive.
Grade transfer
- Make sure you have collected a copy of the St Andrews grade transfer tables so you know what your targets are whilst abroad.
Practicalities
- Make sure you have made sensible insurance provisions for your time away (these are organised differently in different places).
- Check VISA requirements and make sure you have the correct VISA.
- Make sure you have worked out functional financial arrangements for your time away.
Forms
- You will need to fill in application forms for your chosen University. The International Office organises this for North American schemes. For ERASMUS, please contact Prof Ian Taylor.
