Research and travel stipends
The James Wilson Doctoral Programme in Constitutional Studies, housed within the Centre for Global Constitutionalism, is accepting applications for Research and Travel Stipends. These stipends are available to research students at the University of St Andrews who are conducting research on themes related to constitutionalism, broadly defined. The stipends, up to a maximum of £1000, can be used for research and travel purposes, which include but is not limited to the purchase of books and supplies, travel for archival or fieldwork research, or attendance at conferences.
Applications for the Stipends need to include the following:
- A letter of request which details the intended use of the award;
- a two page description of your research project, with emphasis on how it relates to constitutional thought, broadly defined; and
- a current CV.
These need to be sent via electronic mail to the Director of the Wilson Programme Committee, Dr Anthony Lang (al51@st-andrews.ac.uk). The applications will be considered by a committee composed of members of the Wilson Programme and Centre staff members. The deadline for submission of your materials is 15 January 2012. You will be informed of the committee’s deliberations on 1 February 2012.
