Q: Can I work in the UK if I am an International Student?
A: If you have a student visa or have Entry Clearance as a student you are permitted to work under the student restrictions. Therefore you will be permitted to work 20 hours per week during term-time and full-time hours during the University vacation periods. All workers in the UK are required to have a National Insurance number.
Q: I am a student from the European Economic Area, can I work in the UK whilst studying?
A: European Nationals are allowed to work in the UK, but if you are a national of one of the accession countries you may need to register. Contact the International Student Advisers.
Q: I am an International Student, will I be able to stay in the UK to work after I graduate?
A: The Borders and Immigration Agency have various schemes that may enable International Graduates to stay in the UK after studies. For more information contact the International Student Advisers.
