Research
ICC's aim is to produce studies that will inform intelligent practice, analyzing the foundations that support a sustained Creative Industries sector in Scotland. We develop national and international links with management and social science researchers to access important comparative and global perspectives on our work. More about Research
ESRC Capacity Building Cluster
Our primary focus through 2013 is research funded by a £1.5 million Capacity Building Cluster grant from the Economic & Social Research Council (ESRC). Involving CASE PhD studentships, Knowledge Transfer Partnerships, and Business Vouchers, the grant supports ICC working with public sector organisations and industry partners to co-produce knowledge. More about the Capacity Building Cluster grant.
Postgraduate Education
ICC works with the School of Management to deliver two distinctive degrees: The 1-year taught postgraduate programme, the MLitt in Managing in the Creative Industries, builds students' knowledge and skills to meet the unique demands of the cultural and creative industries. Our PhD programme provides the coming generation of university-based researchers a firm grounding in social science research informed by detailed knowledge of a Creative Industries sector.
Events
Our activities share the results of our research and stimulate policy and practitioner debate on the crucial current issues facing the Creative Industries.
