Alternative Format
Satisfying requests from staff, students, applicants and visitors for information provided into 'Alternative Format' is a legal duty.
The University is proud to have onsite provision for creating information in a range of accessible methods. The Alternative Format Suite (AFS) provides a service to transfer documents into alternative formats such as Audio, Braille and Large Print.
Note: When providing text to the service, photocopies must be clear to read and provided at an agreed time in advance.
In 2012 the University's AFS within IT Services and Student Services, successfully participated in a programme to demonstrate good practice provision and process, with the E&D Officer providing input on legislative compliance.
