Disability

A major part of disability compliance is in the area of 'reasonable adjustments'.

What is 'reasonable'?
It is any initiative which helps to alleviate a substantial disadvantage.  Questions staff should take into account in determining reasonableness are:

  • effectiveness of adjustment is in preventing the disadvantage
  • practicality?
  • cost?
  • potential disruption?
  • time and resources required?
