About Staff Development
Aims and services
We support the organisation in building leadership and creating a positive, productive work environment.
We do this by helping staff:
- Lead their teams
- Manage Resources
- Develop themselves
within the context of the overall University Strategy.
Some of our activities are listed below:
- Facilitation of the Staff Induction Programme.
- Managing enquires about Staff Development.
- Joint course programmes with other Scottish universities.
- Administration of the Academic Research Leave Scheme.
- Consultancy with Schools/Units.
- Design and delivery of team building events.
- Input to future Management Development approaches.
- Contribute to fees for appropriate external courses attended by staff (e.g. OU, HNC, day release etc).
