Language Tuition Scholarships

The School of History has created a number of scholarships to enable students wishing to pursue graduate work at St Andrews to undertake intensive language courses abroad during the summer of 2012. These scholarships will have a value of £1000 each, and will be awarded on a competitve basis to final-year undergraduates wishing to study for a masters' degree in 2012-13, or to masters' students wishing to start a PhD in 2012. This scheme is intended to complement the School's regular, semester-time provision of courses in Latin and modern languages.

Intensive language courses must be undertaken at an institute approved by the School, e.g. the Goethe Institute (Germany), the Alliance Francaise (Paris), the Società Dante Alighieri (Siena).

NB In order to be eligible for this competition you must have received an offer of a place on one of our MLitt or PhD programmes. Deadline 27th April 2012.
