
The University of St Andrews offers a range of residential accommodation for both postgraduate students.
Postgraduate students apply for a particular type of accommodation. The options are:
The allocation of postgraduate accommodation is carried out by the Head of Student Accommodation Services.
Each of the rooms for postgraduates is for single occupancy and is comfortably furnished. Bed linen i.e. duvet and cover, pillow, sheets and pillowcases is supplied in Deans Court, University Hall and Gannochy House. In other residences the students provide and launder their own. It is possible to pre-order a bedding pack (information included in contract details).
Each room has its own telephone and data socket for connection to the University network. The residences have central heating which operates at specified times.
The University owns a small number of flats and studios suitable for married students or couples.
Student Accommodation Services will be glad to deal with enquiries from both single and married postgraduates students seeking self-catering accommodation or a flat, whether University or privately owned. The University has been working to increase its stock of properties available to rent through its property management scheme.

All research students are member of St Leonard's College and share in its social and other activities whose aim is to bring all postgraduates together to meet each other.
