Andrew White was listed as a Scottish captain in Danish-Norwegian service in the Jutland foot regiment from 1675 to 1690. He was captured the same year, but exchanged in 1676 and subsequently dismissed/suspended, allegedly for incompetence, until 1677. However he was reinstated the same year after a court martial and became a reformed captain. He was in Prince Frederick's infantry regiment between June 1677-8. In 1690 he was dismissed for the last time due to illness. He married Anne Drummond, called Gordon, by Catholic rite.
