PhD title: The Impact of Awqaf (Islamic Religious Endowments) on the Modern economy of Iran.
The thesis is comprised of two parts. The first part investigates the cause that contributed to the waqf institution as potentially the largest traditional economic institution in Iran. The second part focuses on the development of various legal aspect of waqf. The aim of research is to highlight the importance of waqf in Iran and also elucidate the challenges of modernising this institution and its economic.
