Progression to Honours

In order to be admitted to Honours for any programme offered by the School of History, you must
have at least 240 credits at 1000 and 2000 level, of which

  • at least 80 must be at 2000 level;
  • at least 40 must be in subjects other than Ancient, Mediaeval, Modern, Scottish, or Church History.

There are further specific requirements for the each degree programme, and you need to familiarise yourselves with them. Details of these can be found in the entry for each degree programme in the Undergraduate Course Catalogue of the University.

The School will be in touch with you following the May exams of your second year, and confirm whether you have been successful in entering Honours.
