Penalties for late work
Any essay, or other piece of coursework, which is submitted after the relevant deadline, without being covered by adequate evidence of medical problems or of another serious emergency or by the prior permission of the tutor concerned, will be penalised as follows:
- 0.5 points will be deducted for every day (including Saturday, Sunday, and any holiday) after the relevant deadline. Students submitting work late are strongly advised to have the date of submission documented by one of the secretaries before asking for the work to be placed in the tutor's pigeon hole.
- Work submitted more than two weeks after the relevant deadline but before the School's final deadline will receive an automatic fail mark of 1.
