THE THIRD REIGN OF LOUIS XIV

In early July 2015 Dr Guy Rowlands will be hosting a multidisciplinary conference devoted to exploring the second half of Louis XIV’s ‘personal rule’, focussing on what made the period 1700-15 different from the period 1660-75, and when, in a variety of fields, noticeable shifts began to occur. It will also address the issue of  how far one can think of the ‘personal rule’ as a single period of 54 years. Further details will appear on this webpage.”
