Micropalaeontology
A research focus in our School is the study of benthic and planktonic foraminifera for palaeoclimate reconstructions. FEEA has a cold storage room and clean sample preparation rooms. Various optical microscopes, including transmitted light and reflected light (and some dual-purpose) microscopes are available for the identification of specimens, including a Nikon photomicroscope.
