Biography

After graduating from Queen Margaret University Edinburgh in 2007 with a BA(hons) in Sociology and Psychology (distinction for thesis), I secured a PSAS studentship to study for an MRes in Social Research at the University of Aberdeen, which I completed in September 2008 (distinction for thesis). In October 2008 I received a +3 ESRC CASE award to study for a PhD in health geography at the University of St-Andrews that is also part-funded by both NHS Fife and Fife Council. My PhD thesis is a mixed-method evaluation of the impact(s) of area regeneration initiatives on health and well-being in Scotland. The study will conduct a national-level analysis using the Scottish Longitudinal Study (SLS), along with in-depth analysis of residents’ experiences of regeneration in Fife.
