Research Fellow in GeoInformatics – Salary £30,122 – £35,938 per annum
Fixed Term: 3 years, Start Date: As soon as possible
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the newly formed Centre for GeoInformatics under the leadership of Professor Stewart Fotheringham in the Department of Geography and Sustainable Development. We are seeking for an active researcher who will help the Centre develop a strong international research reputation.
You will have a background and research interests in Geographic Information Science with a PhD in GIScience/Geoinformatics or related topics in Computer Science. We encourage applications from candidates in any area of GIScience, however, research interests in geovisualisation and/or visual analytics and experience with user interface evaluation is a plus. Successful candidates will have a proven record of research publication, will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and should be willing to write grant proposals for research councils and other sources.
