12.3 Governance
This category covers information relating to the way the institution is governed and how decisions are made. It includes information on the legal status of the institution, which individual member of staff or group within the organisation is responsible for specific functions and where they fit in the overall structure of the organisation.
Class name: Subsidiary companies
Information on the names, addresses, broad functions and purposes of companies where the institution is a majority shareholder.
The wholly owned subsidiary companies of the University noted below have adopted the Scottish Information Commissioner's Single Model Publication Scheme 2011 and these will be in force until 31 May 2015. In adopting the Single Model Publication Scheme, each subsidiary company has produced a 'Guide to Information' which:
allows you to see what information is available (and what is not available) in relation to each class;
- states what charges may be applied;
- explains how to find the information easily;
- provides contact details for enquiries and to get help with accessing ifnormation;
- explains how to request information that has not been published.
