How to make a request for information
Requesting information under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 or the Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004.
When making a request for information it is not necessary to mention the Act or Regulations or to explain why information is being asked for. Requests must however:
- Be in writing or some other form able to be used for later reference (Requests under the Regulations can also be made orally)
- Give your name and address
- Describe the information you require
