Dina Iordanova, Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts
Prof. Iordanova has been elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts, the organisation for arts and business leaders which combines thought leadership with social innovation to further human progress.
How the Movie Brats Took Over Edinburgh - book launch
St Andrews Film Studies new publication on the Edinburgh International Film Feststival, How The Movie Brats Took Over Edinburgh by Matthew Lloyd, received a belated book launch at Word Power Books in Edinburgh on Friday 12th August.
Dina Iordanova's essay on Human Trafficking in Film has been translated into Danish and published as the opening text of the special issue of Copenhagen-based Kosmorama: The Danish Journal for Film Art and Culture (Summer 2011), dedicated to The New Europe.
The Carnegie Trust for the Universities of Scotland has awarded £2,000 to Prof. Dina Iordanova to carry out research on Film Festivals in Switzerland as part of a larger projects on film festivals in smaller European countries.
