Tom Rice invited to talk in Hyderabad

In October, Tom Rice was invited to present and teach at the English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad. During the trip, Tom organised and ran a one-day workshop on Early Cinema with Dr Lee Grieveson (UCL). He then presented a paper at a two-day conference (“Film Cultures: Historical Perspectives”) and along with other members of the Colonial Film Project organised a series of screenings.

Dina Iordanova addresses the Busan Cinema Forum at the 16th Busan International Film Festival in South Korea.

In October 2011 Dina Iordanova was part of the inaugural Busan Cinema Forum at the 16th Busan International Film Festival in South Korea. Her talk was entitled 'East Asia and Film Festivals: Transnational Clusters for Creativity and Commerce.'

Turconi Project launches

Joshua Yumibe presented the Davide Turconi Project this week at the 30th Anniversary of the Giornate del Cinema Muto in Pordenone, Italy. Yumibe has been the director of the project, with Paolo Cherchi Usai, since 2003.
