Eight and a Half Foundation Launched

Film critic Mark Cousins and actress Tilda Swinton have just announced that their latest Scottish film initiative has just been launched. The Eight and a Half Foundation aims to broaden the cinematic tastes of the next generation and increase their love of cinema by introducing them to the best that world cinema has to offer on their 8½ birthday – an ambition that we fully endorse.

Professor Dina Iordanova takes up post of Provost of St Leonard's College/Dean of Graduate Studies

As of 1 September, Prof. Dina Iordanova has taken up her new position as Provost of St. Leonard's College/Dean of Graduate Studies. She will serve in this capacity until 2013.
