60 Hour Film Blitz

This 3 day event is designed to inspire members of the St Andrews community and those from further afield to engage in the 600th Anniversary of the University of St Andrews, through an entertaining and culturally dynamic event. This festival is the first of its kind to come to town, giving people a chance to express themselves and their personal experience of St Andrews through the medium of film. The festival will conclude with a fantastic screening in the heart of St Andrews on the Friday night. A panel of distinguished judges with ranging expertise has been assembled and will award prizes to each category of entry - it is a competition after all!

Anyone can enter the festival.

Choose from 3 categories of registration, depending on your filmmaking experience. Each category will be judged separately, so beginners need not worry about going up against the veterans!

Participants can enter as an individual or as a team, and there is no limit to the number of people you can have working on a project.

The cost of entry per team is £10.

Entries can be up to 3 minutes long.

Some equipment will be provided during the 60 hours of the festival, but participants are free to use their own as well.

The actual 60 hours of the festival will run from 12 noon on Tuesday 1st March to 12 midnight on Thursday 3rd March. Screenings and the closing ceremony will take place on the evening of Friday 4th March.

There will be a concluding ceremony on Friday evening.
