The Centre for Film Studies is a vibrant research centre that has contributed to the Department’s impressive publication record. Our events, conferences and workshops have lead to several projects and publications lead by our active staff members. The members of the Centre and of the Board publish their own research in widely acclaimed books, and the Centre also runs a world-renowned series of books in the St Andrews Film Studies Publishing House imprint. Series such as the Film Festival Yearbooks and Films Need Festivals, Festivals Need Films, are widely read and positively reviewed. In addition, the postgraduate community at St Andrews edits and runs the online postgraduate Frames Cinema Journal.
