Will Maclean Exhibition

Description'Here, in the School of Art History at the University of St Andrews, is an intimate display of small works by Will Maclean. Mixed-media box constructions, montaged lantern-slides, modified picture postcards and collaged images, they present a compendium of the oeuvre of Scotland¿s most illustrious artist. Framed and bordered in bleached, whitened surrounds the works allude to that subtle alchemy that is the distinctive feature of Maclean¿s practice: an alchemy that blends history and memory, legend and myth, tradition and change, in an elusive visual imagining.'
