Visualising the evolution of Earth and life

Description
Earth's 4.5 billion year history is an epic of dramatic change through physical, chemical and biological processes. Large and growing data resources, coupled with new analytical and visualisation methods, are revealing the ancient origins and evolution of Earth and life in new and vivid detail. The lecture will be introduced by Principal Professor Sally Mapstone.

Robert Hazen is senior scientist at the Geophysical Laboratory of the Carnegie Institute of Washington, a dynamic public speaker, and the author of popular science books such as Genesis: The scientific quest for life on Earth and The Story of Earth.
