St Andrews Chorus and the Heisenberg Ensemble
- Scotland’s largest choral society perform two of the masterpieces of the 20th century choral repertoire: Bernstein’s 1965 setting of three Hebrew Psalms (the Chichester Psalms) precedes William Walton’s spectacular 1931 cantata (Belshazzar’s Feast), described by Herbert von Karajan as “the best choral music written in the last 50 years”. With Brian Bannatyne-Scott (Bass), Ben Clark (treble), St Andrews Chorus and the Heisenberg Ensemble conducted by Michael Downes.
