St AndRe-Use Semester 2 Give-Away
| Description | St AndRe-Use are holding a Give-Away in the Union at the start of Semester 2 to get rid of all items donated by members of the university community over the last semester. We have lots of stationery, books, bedding, towels, and countless other odds and ends. All items are free to a good home. Give-Aways tend to be rather busy, so if you have anything specific you are looking for we suggest you arrive early. |

| More info | St AndRe-Use is a convenient online forum (www.st-andrews.ac.uk/standre-use) and regular donations facility which allows the students, staff, and residents of St Andrews an alternative to the conventional – and wasteful – purchasing and disposal routine. Rather than throwing out functional items you are fed up of, offer them to others. Rather than always buying new items, see if anyone else has but no longer needs the item you want by listing your request the forum. Save unnecessary waste from landfill, save money, save shopping stress, and see what treasures you can find in other people’s ‘trash’. It’s that simple. Everything from TVs to textbooks and clothes to collanders – and even a small trampoline – have been re-homed and re-used since St AndRe-Use started in 2009. As a basic rule of thumb, if it works someone else will probably want it. Don't chuck it out - donate it through St AndRe-Use! |
