Scott Brooks

Education and Experience

After receiving his undergraduate degree in Opera Performance from the University of British Columbia, Scott came to St. Andrews to begin researching the developmental parallels between early modern English verse and early Italian opera, and the implications thereof. He is focusing on Edmund Spenser and the work of the Florentine Camerata, and how the accomplishments of these two unrelated parties achieve a synthesis in the poetry of John Milton.
